Adea has been talking non stop about here favorite place to eat fries now for over 6 years. DICK's... So you know we had to spot and try them out. She was right. It was alot like In and Out's in CA. Very good and cheap!

"All I can say is, LOOK I paid for the first few bugers, now its your turn KIRK!" "No Bill, let's just get the girl's to take us back to Pike Place for a few more rounds and forget about this place!" " Kirk, that sounds like a plan! Your so smart..BEER...mmmm"
Now we couldn't hear what was being said, but we are sure thats CLOSE! We love those guys!

The trip goes on....Ferry Rides

The ferry ride...We decided after a big meal at Dick's, we would drive over to Oak Harbour Island. That is were Bill's works. He wanted us to meet some of his work friends. But we took a short cut. I was the driver and for the first time I drove onto a boat! The 30 minute ride across the water was so pretty and just at sunset too... Above Bronco Bill and Kirk

Shopping for retirement Land..dreams....

The drive started out in Mt Vernon...we drove all over looking for land to look at for us four to buy now, for our "later" years....We drove all over the county side, not leaving out the logging trails-roads. WA is so green a,clean and pretty! We just fell in love with it. We also stop for a bit of wine tasting on our way back. Kirk and I have not gotten the "WINE" bug yet, but it something new and fun to do....we had such a great time with Bill and Adea...and ASH too...Thank you for having us!

Let's not forget Ashley.....

Although Ash was at grandpa's one night, grandma's another..we did find her on the Fourth of July at Adea's grandma's house for the huge family party. There were over 40 people I would guess. Including Bill's mom too. The sun went down, Kirk, Bill, Bradley(Adea's little brother 13 I think) and few other over grown boys started the fireworks. Adea's step-dad Dan, bought over 5oo pounds of the good stuff you won't ever find in CA...It looked like a real show. With the skies dark from being deep in the country, we could see them so clear. As, I forgot to take a single picture that day, Ash did come home with us that night. She didn't wake up before we left for MN so the only picture I got was while she was out cold...still just the sweetest little girl you'll ever meet!

Gunnar's and Christian's Second Year Hockey Teams

Six weeks late, the season has come and gone, the pictures I have been waiting for came in today. The team pictures. Both boys played a great season. Christian earned his first REAL/Fair goal. Wow he about died! Hockey is not a high scoring sport, so that made it even better for him. Gunnar just loves its all...on his league, they "all" are winners....We found the only hockey rink here and the season starts in about 4 months when its cooler...NC can be a bit warm...LOL

So close, oh so close...

Today we met, well found our electrician by LUCK and added all the extra's. You lights, phones, cable,(cable in kitchen too,silly) and yes..extra FAN'S..You know me!

We also hung out long enough to meet many more people buying there also. We are NOT the only ones looking at their homes, EVERYDAY(and everyones elses).....they all do. Looks like a bunch of 30 somethings moving in...many kids too...babies to teens...

July 20th Update...

Trip # 100 or so to the new house. Its looking so great! We are meeting more and more people buying homes in KanTon Hills.... Many kids for our kids to play with. Very exciting for us all.
