Cub Scouts with Gunnar

Tonight Gunnars pack had a halloween party. It included a haunted "trail". If you know my kids at ALL, you'll know they donnot like being in dark or scary places AT ALL...But they all made it out of the trail with only a few skipped beats! Mainly Gunnar, shocker!

Britt was just herself...the pretty like DEVIL she is!

Christians first and only time he will wear makeup. He was a headless horseman, but didn't like the cut off neck as a hat. So Nana put some of her makeup on him. He was a vampire, I think. Just wrong.

Gunnar as the NINJA. He would not take his mask off to show anyone who he was! He had a great time as his first fun night with his troop. Sister was having a blast too.

More Carving, more Pumpkins!

Nana made a trip back to NC, due to the hurricane in S.Florida where she was staying with her sister Kyra. She came back just in time to help carve the other pumpkins we bought from the farm.

Hello, I got an email from my friend Marcy today saying she has started a blog of her own! I have added here to my links on the side for everyone to see too. Kirk and I met Jim and Marcy in July walking the "loop". Everyone buying a home here walks the loop in hopes to meet new people. They are just one of the new groups moving here. They are a wonderful family with six son's.

Face painting the fun and yummy way....

Bradley put his face in the cake first I think, or Gunnar told him too..But he loved it!Zack soon after had black on his, I think his dad put it there!

I told Gabe to get Nick. He kept playing that he was going to put his face in, and we just did it for him. Thank you Gabe. Poor Nick wears glasses, so he got it twice! YUMMY
Now Austin just thought it was all so fun...I just asked AUSTIN do it for Aunt Rhonda, and he did! He even took a bite while he was there!You gotta love that boy!

you've heard of re-gifting, but RE-CAKING???

Yesterday was a wonderful day, but Britt was so sick. She was stuck in her room and watched from the window. We promised her today that we would resing it all, and have cake and ice cream. She was MUCH better today and Gunnar wanted two parties as well.

Look, Mom was able to get somebody to take a picture. Gunnar was waiting for Britt to sing happy birthday..(but you didn't eat your chow and still got cake song, to him) It was funny.

My love of Art....Jack Vettriano

Check out this site. Some of you may not know, but I have HUGE love of art. I thought about it today and I am going to start adding links to sites of art I love and or own(copies of course).

Today I am starting with my FAV...I have many of his prints.
Some history:

Happy Halloween with Nana

Nana was here for her pumpkin carving visit. This year after Gunnars birthday party Christian,Gunnar,Nana and even Sister came down to the kitchen and carved up a great one. Nana bought a kit, and make a witch. The kids had a great time watching the artist create a wonderful piece of work!

Family Fun....YES IT WAS

Sat. after our fun at family day, we headed to a wonderful tree farm Steph found for us to head out too. It was great. I added the link above in the title. You just have to check it out. This place was great. We had a hayride out to the patches. The kids ran and dranced to the live music. They also do the entire X-Mas tree, Harvest time things and many other fun family things. It was all just so nice...And with family to boot!

Happy Birthday Dear GUNNAR

Happy birthday to our little boy. Our baby is turning 8 today! Our BABY! How could it be?? He is having a party this afternoon and it should be a blast! Check back later for pictures....Gunnar Mom and Dad love you!

Family Day at Johnson

Our new friends Jim and Marcy invited us to Jim's base for thier family day. Kirks does not do those things, so we thought it would be great fun for the kids. Jim is the FRO, so he and Marcy worked very hard to set it all up. They had horse rides,a petting zoo,pumpkin painting, jumpers, and many other games that provided many prizes for our kids.

Behind us is the New River Air Station, where Kirk works. The views from Johnson to New River were so very nice. We had the best time, thank you again Jim and Marcy.

More fun and Games

Nick and Christianplaying at the airgun target table. Zack is in the back loading the guns.
Now if you look close at this picture you will see three young marines and one boy in a red shirt doing pushups. Now this was the tic-tac-toe ring toss. At one point it ran out of prizes so the marines said they would do 4 pushups for each ring that made it on the board. Now if you look to the side you'll see Brittany watching. She just tossed the rings and made a few. So the marines drop to do thier pushings,16 I think. Well so did Nick in the red shirt at the end. He was showing Britt that he too, could be as strong as a US Marine! It was so cute, and he kept up too! Nick is Jim and Marcy's 9 year old son.
