We added two new chairs this weekend. I bought them from Pier 1 Imports, I just love that store. The chairs have to orange in it like my other chair and all the browns in it from my couch and walls...We still have to get it all moved around and placed just right in that room, but we have many years to figure that all out.

The room is coming together. It is so dark too. I need more lighting or we will be sitting in the dark. I love it though. This room is meant for chatting and sitting down with a good book. Those boxes may be gone someday...and maybe we will hang a picture or three..We still need some black end tables in there, all in time..

Here is Dra showing sister how to put his new trombone together. This is his second year playing so he bought him his very one. Now that he has to carry it to school on the bus everyday to class and back, he's wishing he'd picked something MUCH smaller...it little to late... He's doing great on it and we are so proud. He is in his new room. His walls are a navy blue. Very dark, calming and very nice with all thier white furniture and trim.

As you can see he is telling this person he is THREE years old. Aunt Rhonda and her gang love you and miss you more than you know!

The house is all ours...
What a week.... We closed on our new home, we had a hurricane, water heater blew up,Dra was sick, kids had no school, and the movers came a day late, DUE to the hurricane. But it was worth it all...We bought it on my parents Anniversary in May and closed on my Pop's 89th birthday on the 13th(would have been). The kids, Kirk and I LOVE the new place. Its all we dreamed of. I will be blogging more as soon as I find the time. We have some great pictures to share of the hurricane that hit us and the house too...Just keep looking back....

Kirk earned another award....
Air Medal
The Air Medal is a military decoration of the United States which was established by Executive Order 9158, signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt, on May 11, 1942. The Air Medal is retroactive to September 8, 1939.
The Air Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the Armed Forces of the United States, shall have distinguished himself/herself by meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or heroism, or for meritorious service. Award of the Air Medal is primarily intended to recognize those personnel who are on current crew member or non-crew member flying status which requires them to participate in aerial flight on a regular and frequent basis in the performance of their primary duties. However, it may also be awarded to certain other individuals whose combat duties require regular and frequent flying in other than a passenger status, or individuals who perform a particularly noteworthy act while performing the function of a crew member but who are not on flying status. These individuals must make a discernible contribution to the operational land combat mission or to the mission of the aircraft in flight. Examples of personnel whose combat duties require them to fly include those in the attack elements of units involved in air-land assaults against an armed enemy and those directly involved in airborne command and control of combat operations. Awards will not be made to individuals who use air transportation solely for the purpose of moving from point to point in a combat zone.
